As you approach the residence, a circular drive welcomes you, offering both functionality and elegance. With a minimalist flat roof design that adds to its modern appeal, this 4 bedroom, 3 full bath and 1 half bath home embraces the best aspects of California living.

Bordered by cream-colored Texas limestone and a meticulously maintained landscape, the glass entry door invites you into the living spaces beyond. As a tribute to the owners' years spent in Portland, the door handle is crafted from a branch of one of the mature trees in their former yard.

With warm cedar tongue and groove eaves, cut limestone accent walls and a neutral smooth finish stucco exterior, this home effortlessly blends into the natural beauty of its surroundings

The pool area is the star of the show on those warm summer days, anchored by the pool house, main residence and gardens that surround the pool deck.

Step inside to discover an inviting great room bathed in natural light with clerestory windows and large format doors that blur the line between indoor and outdoor spaces.

With a TV discreetly hidden behind sliding wood and metal panels, this living room is well suited to host a large family gathering or cozy night in on the couch.

Graduates of Cal Poly, Nick and Jane Athanasakos always had dreams of returning to the area one day and building a home on a piece of raw land. In 2014 they settled on a 5 acre parcel east of the village of Arroyo Grande. Over the next 9 years their dreams came to life, including the idea of a home bar they had dreamt up in their college years, aptly named the "Big Ditch" Saloon - which translates to Arroyo Grande in Spanish

Overlooking the view is the expansive pool and pool house with a bar, bunk room and gym contributing 1,729 square feet of additional living space, perfect for hosting guests in small and large groups.

Whether you’re drawn to the modern lines, the picturesque setting, or the spacious design, this residence is a testament to contemporary luxury in harmony with nature.

The owners’ passion for entertaining drew design focus to the lived experience of the residence both in the day and night. Careful attention was given to lighting, outdoor amenities and the relationship of the main residence to the nearby pool house ensuring a cohesive interaction regardless of the size of gathering.
